URGENT: 2008 CELIAC KIDS' CAMP COORDINATOR REQUIRED
Have you been diagnosed with Celiac Disease?
Have you been on a gluten-free diet for at least 6 months?
Are you a male or female between the ages of 18-72?
Are you willing to complete 7 study visits in 10 weeks?
If the answer is yes, you may qualify for a clinical research trial being conducted at The University of Calgary Medical Centre to study a new investigational medication for the treatment of Celiac Disease.

The University of Calgary Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board has approved this Research Study.
Where would you like to see the Chapter research dollars being spent??
Many ideas include therapies, drug development, genetics, food product development, basic science, gluten threshold, related diseases, studies of celiac infants and children, the autoimmune process, and diagnostic tools to name a few.

The 2008 Rod McDaniel Celiac Kids Camp urgently needs a new coordinator. This role must be filled by June 20 in order for the camp to be run this year.
Our membership continues to grow rapidly. More and more children with celiac disease will need this program to allow them a camping experience where their nutritional needs are properly taken care of.

The Restaurant Education Questionnaire was distributed in the Calgary Celiac Association’s Fall 2006 newsletter and also during the 2006 Fall Conference. 87 people responded to the questionnaire.
